A Little About Me.....
My name is Laura Atwell. I am the site coordinator for Holidays at Home & Around the World, a global learning project, or GLP. I teach children with special needs (moderate to severe). My class is located in Southern California. I often use holidays as a theme to teach common core subjects, such as Math & English Language Arts. I believe that sharing in and learning about other peoples' holidays and traditions is an excellent way for my students to be a part of and learn about the larger world around them. This is also an excellent opportunity for your class to learn about, and interact with other students from around the world.
